I took Colton to Parson's Stadium to see the Monster trucks before the show. We did not stay for the event, but he did get to see the trucks. He heard a train whistle in the distance, so we set off to find the train. We ended up at the train station, of course, and Colton insisted on waiting there. He said the train from Van Buren would be back soon. I don't think I ever convinced him the train had already returned and people had gone home.
Colton has a pillow we call his dream pillow. It has clouds on it and on each cloud is printed a Bible verse about restful sleep and God's protection. He can only have good dreams if the clouds are facing up. Our routine consists of bath, snack, teeth brushing, reading books, and prayers. Then I say, "Sweet dreams," and Daddy says, "Smile before you go to sleep," then Colton double checks his pillow and goes to sleep after telling us how much he loves us and we tell him we love him to the moon and back. When he awakens, he proceeds to tell me about his train dream. The pillow works. It takes careful timing to wash his pillow case. If I forget to put it in he dryer in time for bed, we wait--we wait until it dries. I do pray for him a patient wife.
