Armor Of God

This outfit was purchased at a Christian bookstore on one of our outings. He loves playing with it. His favorite pieces are the Helmet of Salvation, the Shield of Faith, and his most favorite the Sword of the Word which he calls the Sword of the Lord. He asked me what the sword was for and I told him that you are to point it at the devil and tell him to get out of here! He's got that down pretty pat, and he says it with such authority. It gets a little rough when he sees the devil in his cat or in his dogs (especially the one pictured sleeping peacefully behind him)! Apparently he found the devil hiding in our screen door as well because it suffered a fatal wound. The sword has to go in for repairs for a few days when that happens (as well as the door).

I try hard to teach him about the Lord and sometimes I have to get a little creative so that he grasps what I am saying. Colton inspires me. He is my precious.
